An additional piece of information that may be helpful for folks. As
you remember, there are two different products that are part of the
Kaltura pilot. KMC (Kaltura Media Console) is an administrative tool
that manages content/assets, users, and user groups. There is also
MediaSpace. This is the tool that is like YouTube and allows for
uploading video and copying embed code. Since there is no D2L
integration for user identities, instructors and students using
MediaSpace will simply have a link called "MediaSpace" on the navigation
bar of their D2L course site. "MediaSpace" is the correct name for the
tool and is more descriptive than "Kaltura." This will be the short
term plan until integration has been completed. No word when that will
occur.
